Now I promise I am no scientist or nutritionist. Honestly, I am just a college student who had a life threatening (well over time) diagnosis of diabetes type 2 and needed a change. I began with the low-carb diets, along with pain wrenching gym routines which gave me no results whatsoever. My doctor told me one of the main battles I faced was loosing weight (basically the awful Freshman 15 I had gained.) Six months ago weight loss was a sad hopeless desire which seemed to be unreachable. Until I experienced the Paleo Diet.
I have heard of this "Paleo Diet" before but I never looked at it as more than something I could never accomplish. But this no other option to loss the weight I began the Paleo on June 8th, 2014 with my sister Ritta. The first 2 weeks for BRUTAL, I mean I wanted to quit so many times and it took all my strength to resist the foods I used to eat daily. Since then I have currently lost 10 pounds (and kept them off). This is an accomplishment of its own but I gained (or loss) more than that! I am now filled with more energy, cooking creativity, and an overall healthy feeling.
I am much more to this Paleo Path of mine and I wish you to take this along with me. I am not a blogger, yet alone a writer but I hope I am able to aid just a few in their journey "back into the past."
